Ways to help Angarrack Christmas Lights 2023
Submitted by Secretary - Chr... on Fri, 15/09/2023 - 11:18.
The next 3 months are our busiest time of the year as we get ready to display our lights. Visitors often say how wonderful it is to see such community spirit and want to know what goes in to putting the lights up, maintaining, repairing etc so for the next few weeks I will post some of the messages that are sent out to volunteers and photos of what is happening.
Here is a snip from the September newsletter we send out to the village.

Here is a snip from the September newsletter we send out to the village.
How can I help?
- Volunteer for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. We will be out every Saturday, weather permitting, from the 16th September until 26th November. Free pasty for anyone helping on 16th September.
- We will be putting up light strings along Back Lane, Riverside and Grist Lane during the week rather than the weekend, this maybe during the day or into the evening. Please let me know if you can help.
- In November, the team will need help with the larger frames in the field and pub car park.
- If you work for a company that could offer a discount on items we may need, from pasties to pliers and anything else that may be useful, please get in touch.
- Join the committee. We need more members on the committee to help with organising events, fund raising and making sure the lights go up.
