Today we're spotlighting our longest standing Hayle Town Councillor, ???????????????????? ???????????????????????? who represents the West Ward.
Brian has lived in Hayle all of his life, working for British Telecom and later as an NHS courier. When he joined as a Councillor 46 years ago Brian shares that Hayle Parish Council did very little!
What drew him to becoming a Councillor was his special areas of interest like the facilities for people of Hayle, especially for younger generations and elderly people.
Brian is involved with the Harvey’s Foundry Trust, Hayle Day Care Centre, Hayle Carnival Committee and Angarrack Community Centre.
???? If you're unsure of who represents your Ward, head here https://www.hayletowncouncil.gov.uk/your-council/list-of-town-councillors/

Photos from Hayle Town Council's post
At last night’s meeting of the Full Council we welcomed members of Penpol School’s Jelly Friends, to give a presentation about, and to receive a certificate from the Mayor, Cllr Jeremy Martin, for, their amazing achievements and recent trip to Boston, USA. The Mayor and Councillors were extremely impressed to hear first hand about their experiences and about how they progressed through the Robot Wars LEGO League rounds in the UK and then their special invitation to go to Boston. Unfortunately not all could attend the meeting but those present certainly gave a great account. The skills, knowledge and talent displayed, along with increased confidence and lots of excitement, was simply a joy to witness!
Well done Jelly Friends and the rather brilliant Mr Woolcock - you all aced it!

We’ve been blessed with special weather to showcase Hayle at its absolute best for the South West in Bloom judging day! The town is looking absolutely beautiful and that is largely due to the hard work of the volunteer members of Hayle in Bloom who have made it flourish, alongside our gardening team. We thank you for all your efforts for putting Hayle on the map for 25 years!
We also thank Nick and Ali and your team at Paradise Park for your generosity and continuous support, as well as the blooming lovely lunch!
