A two car crash on the A30 which caused damage only to the vehicles involved led to a four-mile tailback this afternoon.

The incident happened at 4.15pm at Loggans Moor roundabout between Hayle and Camborne.

The incident was caused by a crash between two vehicles but meant that one lane was blocked by those involved waited for recovery.

The Force Incident Manager for Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that no injuries had been sustained as a result the collision.

It is understood the incident happened right on the roundabout meaning the area was blocked for sometime.

The road was not completely cleared until just after 6pm, once the vehicles had been recovered.

At its worst the traffic was backed up to Rose-an-Grouse, meaning queues of nearly four miles had built up along the A30.

It has been a busy day on the roads throughout the county with plenty of congestion as people move around and hoidaymakers arrive in the Duchy.
