These are the sites where 27,000 new homes could be built in Cornwall.
The Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) shows where the majority of the 52,000 homes the Government wants built in the county up to 2030 will go.
The proposals were open for consultation last year and also set out the main employment sites around Cornwall. The plan was endorsed by Cornwall Council's Cabinet in March and this month is due to go forward for a further public consultation.Read more: Boy aged...

Madcap community effort sets world record at Par for most pom...
A creative Cornish community has set a world record by making and hanging a garland of more than 8,000 pom poms. The madcap attempt on a spot in the Guinness Book of Records was completed after months of preparation as part of a Big Lunch event at Par Running Track.

An eight-year-old boy has been winched from a gulley and airlifted to hospital by the coastguard helicopter after falling from the cliffs at Pedn Vounder near Porthcurno.
Multiple 999 calls were made by worried passersby after the incident at about 12.15pm.

London terror attack: Police in Cornwall urge people to stay calm...
Cornwall's police force is urging people in the county to remain calm following the terror attack in London which left seven victims dead.
After three men ploughed into pedestrians on London Bridge before getting out of their van and stabbing people in Borough Market before they were shot dead by police, the local force said it was continuing to keep policing under review.

Two drivers injured in crash on Gannel Road A392 at Newquay
Two people were taken to hospital after a collision on the Gannel Road at Newquay.
The emergency services were called to the scene of the two-car crash at about 10pm yesterday (June 3) on the A392.
A male driver of one car and female driver of the other were taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital by ambulance.

London terror attack: Travel information for people going between...
Travel to London from Cornwall may be of concern today (June 4) in the aftermath of the terrorist attack which left 10 people dead, including the three suspected terrorists, last night.
The innocents were killed when a white van was driven into them on the pavement on London Bridge before three occupants emerged and started stabbing people in Borough Market.

The A30 has been closed in one direction due to a crash involving one vehicle.
The emergency services were at the scene in the westbound carriageway near Redruth.
The accident in the wet weather is understood to involve a single vehicle just after the A3047 Scorrier junction just after 8am. It was also reported that there was debris in the road and one lane eastbound was also closed.

Police have shot dead three suspected terrorists who were said to have killed six people and left nearly 50 injured in an attack at London Bridge.

Paranoid Camborne cannabis dealer Kane Spargo called police to...
A cannabis smoker and dealer who was so paranoid that someone was hiding in his attic called police to his house where they found £1,200 worth of the drug.
Officers were unable to find any intruder but did detect a strong smell of drugs and a court heard how they found a stash of 127 grams of cannabis and £730 in cash.
Kane Thomas Spargo, of Chapel Close, Tuckingmill, Camborne, was then arrested and found himself before a judge at Truro Crown Court.
