Public meeting to discuss Hayle’s “historic” water supply

People in Hayle are being urged to attend a public meeting next week to discuss concerns over their water supply.

The meeting, at the town’s Passmore Edwards Institute, is on Thursday 25th July at 7.30pm. It is hosted by the Camborne, Redruth and Hayle Labour Party in response to concerns that the tap water delivered to some properties may be connected to historic sources. Labour's Parliamentary candidate Paul Farmer wants to hear what local people have to say.

In January, Cornwall Reports revealed how some residents were worried that subterranean issues connected with Hayle’s well-documented mining heritage might be contaminating their domestic supplies.
