MPs in Cornwall who opposed a Housing Bill amendment against slum landlords said now was not the time to play politics despite questions being raised in the aftermath of the horrific disaster at Grenfell Tower in London. At least 30 people have died in the Grenfell Tower fire, police have revealed this lunchtime. Metropolitan Police commander Stuart Cundy confirmed the death toll as he spoke near the scene of the devastating blaze in west London on Friday. An elderly man has died following a serious collision in Looe last month.Emergency services were called around 12.20pm on Friday, May 19, to reports of the collision between a Citroen C3 and Ford Ranger on the A387, Polperro Road.The Citroen driver, a 78-year-old man from Looe, received life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.
