A pensioner who advertised that his village butcher shop was 'now open' by writing on a road sign says he has been victimised and threatened with legal action by Cornwall Council.
Ralph Michell, 74, wrote in felt tip pen 'now open' after his shop in Calenick re-opened after two years.
He said he just wanted to let people know he was back in business after ill health and did not realise that he had breached the rules.
